Clarisse’s Montessori journey started back in 1999 by chance. While reading the local newspaper, she saw an ad looking for an assistant at Rochester Montessori School. She responded and what she observed on her tour of the school changed her life. She started at RMS as an assistant in the Children’s House environment and French instructor. She went on to complete AMI Primary Assistant Training at the Montessori Training Center in St Paul and earned her Montessori Teacher Certification at the Center for Guided Montessori Studies. Clarisse was born and raised in Montpellier, France and came to the USA in 1988. She visits family in Bordeaux, La Rochelle, and Montpellier, France during the summer months. She enjoys cooking, is an avid reader, loves American film noir, drawing and watercolor. She still finds amazement and gratitude for being able to watch her precious student’s lives unfold year after year.
