Anne first heard of Rochester Montessori School when she was very young because she had close childhood friends that attended RMS, and she knew that it was a special place. In college, Anne worked for RMS during the summer and even portrayed Maria Montessori in a college seminar class. Anne earned her Elementary Education degree at the University of Wisconsin – River Falls in 2002 where she worked with the Technology Leadership Cadre to support teachers and fellow Education students to effectively integrate technology into their classrooms. During her time at River Falls, Anne noted that her Education professors sent their own children to the local Montessori school, so she reached out to the St. Kate’s training center in St. Paul for more information. Anne did not pursue training at that time since she was hired by the district and became a First Grade Teacher at Bamber Valley. Anne’s oldest child started attending RMS in 2008 and the other two children followed in 2009 and 2010 at which point Anne joined RMS full time. Anne has spent most of her time at RMS in the E1 environment and loves teaching Fish (Peace Education). She created the Etiquette program in E1 and brought Fencing to RMS. Anne also maintains her Minnesota Teaching License.
