Greg Anderson, Guide

Greg, a native of Minnesota, has taught both middle and high school for over a decade. Greg holds two public school certifications, one in general science and one in earth and space science. In addition to a Bachelor of Science degree in geology, Greg is a certified Montessori middle school teacher. Greg has completed training sessions for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program in the areas of Design and Science.  He is also a naturalist with the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources. Greg teaches middle school science, math, and design.

Bre Scheer, Guide

Bre is a native of southeast Minnesota. She has been an English and humanities teacher for eight years, five of those in a remote Alaskan village on the Yukon River. She earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Social Studies Education from St. Olaf College. Bre has completed training sessions for the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program in the subject areas of Design and Individuals and Societies. This is her fourth year with the Middle Years Program at RMS, and her second year as MYP Coordinator.

Earle Kyle, Geometry and Algebra II

EKyle.jpgEarle is one of the aerospace engineers who designed the Apollo spaceships that took men to the Moon. A lifelong advocate of Mars colonization, he has been teaching STEM related classes nationwide for over 40 years. He teaches special astronomy classes at all three local high schools, and has worked with NASA’s Ames Research Center and NASA’s Astrobiology Institute designing hands-on student activities for learning about the search for life on the planet Mars. He is a graduate of the University of Minnesota’s Institute of Technology in physics where he helped design the first orbiting solar observatory, OSO-I. He formerly directed Carnegie-Mellon University’s Applied Systems Division researching advanced computer aided education and communication systems for children with cerebral palsy. He has been teaching math, science studios, and mentoring student science projects at RMS since 2012.
