Clarisse Colin-Hoag, Cypress Guide

Clarisse started her Montessori journey in 1999 as an assistant and a French Specialist. She completed her Montessori Training in 2011 and graduated with a Montessori Credential from the Center for Guided Montessori Studies.  She has also offered French as an after school studio.  Clarisse took a position as a primary guide in Ventura, California, for one year and returned to RMS in September, 2015 as a guide in the Cypress classroom.

Cecilia Aker, Cypress Guide

Tina Xie, Birches Assistant

Tina, whose real name is Tieying, comes to us from China where she earned an Environmental Engineering degree and was a project manager and senior Engineer for 12 years. In 2011 she received a Certificate of Teaching English as a Foreign Language from BRIDGETEFL and trained with CGMS for Classroom Leadership, Adventures in Art, and Observation from 2012 through 2014. Tina has taught Chinese language classes in Rochester for over a decade and tutors all ages from preschoolers to adults. She has been at RMS since 2006 teaching Chinese in the after school studio programs.  In addition to her position as a Birches Assistant, she also provides before and after school care and fills a substitute role when needed.

Trisha Roeker, Cypress Guide

Trisha came to RMS in 2014 as an assistant guide in the Children's House program.  She holds a degree in child development from Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC).  In early 2016, Trisha completed her Montessori Guide certification.

Kelly Shinn, Cypress Guide

Kelly is a native Pennsylvanian who received her Montessori Primary training at Santa Monica Montessori Institute in California. She has taught in Montessori classrooms in CA, WA and PA before relocating to Minnesota. In addition she holds a bachelor's degree in Music Education from Shenandoah Conservatory.  She taught early childhood music for 11 years with Mary Ann Hall's Music for Children and performed internationally with the PA-based Susquehanna Chorale.

Debbis Lewis, Cypress Assistant

Originally from Ontario, Canada, Debbie has called Rochester her home since 2003. She holds a degree in Early Childhood Education, a BA degree in Sociology and Anthropology, as well as a Montessori Course Certificate. Debbie’s previous experience includes substituting and performing office work at RMS, helping young children dealing with PDD (Pervasive Development Disorder), and working with psychiatric patients to achieve success in literacy and high school diploma programs. In her free time, Debbie enjoys reading, hiking, yoga, biking, and the great outdoors.

Michelle Ebnet, Redwoods Guide

Michelle has worked as a child educator since 1997 and a Montessori Children's House Guide since 2003. She maintains a Minnesota Teaching license, earned an AMS Children's House Montessori Credential from the Center for Contemporary Montessori Programs at the college of St. Catherine's, earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with a Minor in Middle School Science and Social Studies from Winona State University and an Early Childhood Certification from Mid-State Technical College, WI.

Nikki Brown, Redwoods Guide

Nikki began teaching at RMS in 1999. She received her training from The Center for Contemporary Montessori Programs at the University of St. Catherine.  Nikki also has an Associates Degree in Human Services from the Rochester Community and Techical College in Rochester, Minnesota.

Kate Faruolo, Willows Guide

Kate received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Human Development with concentration on Early Childhood Education from Purdue University in 1972.  She went on to earn her AMS Primary Credential from the Twin Cities Montessori Training Center in 1974.  She has also earned the Orton-Guillingham Certification from the Reading Center Dyslexia Institute of Minnesota.  Kate began her Montessori teaching career in Fargo, ND, and has been a Children's House guide at Rochester Montessori School since 1996.

Sarah Streyle, Willows Guide

Sarah joined RMS in 2012. She previously taught in the Rochester Public Schools as an Early Childhood Special Education teacher. She earned a BA in Art from North Park University in Chicago in 2002 and a BA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Winona State University in Winona, MN in 2008. She maintains MN teaching licenses in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, and Early Childhood Special Education.  Sarah earned her Montessori credential for the primary level through the Center for Guided Montessori Studies.

Niniek Pranoto, Willows' Assistant

Niniek was a subtitute in 2003 with the Rochester Montessori School before attending training to becoming an official assistant.  She earned a bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the Trisakti University in Jakarta Indonesia.  She graduated from the Rochester Community and Technical College receiving her Associate Degree and certification in Child Development.
