We would like to wish you all a happy New Year, we hope your winter break was enjoyable!

This month we are focusing on a new continent, the children will enjoy work with maps and animals pertaining to Antarctica.  Some of our students have also been introduced to the decimal system work in Math.  These works are the foundation of the Mathematics area and we are very excited to see them enjoying it so much!  We are also spending a lot of time working with sounds and letter recognition and building words with the Moveable Alphabet.  In science we will be learning about the incredible machine known as the Human Body!

Reminders:

-Please check and empty your child’s green bag when it comes home on Thursday and return it to school Friday.

-Constanza is taking over Spanish for Ana Maria and will work in the classroom from 11-11:45 only.

-Trisha has passed her CGMS training and is now a certified Guide!  Congratulations!!!

-If you have any questions or concerns please address them with your Cypress classroom Guides Trisha or Clarisse.

“There is a part of the child’s soul that has always been unknown but which must be known.  With the spirit of sacrifice and enthusiasm we must go in search, like those who travel to foreign lands and tear up mountains in their search for hidden gold.”   -Maria Montessori
